I wish I knew about the Lego Passport when I was a kid!

...

On March 26, 2025, I spent the day with my friend and flatmate, Vera. A few days ago we found out that you can get a free passport from the Lego Store. Yes, I said free. So, today was the day that we decided we were going to get them for ourselves!

Okay, technically today had 3 objectives, jeans, meeting with Dani, and Lego passport. Vera and I agreed we both needed another pair of jeans and if possible to update my fashion from sporty North American to at least casual European. We first went to the Arena Shopping Centre at Placa Espanya to look for jeans, no luck. Then, we took the metro's L1 to Passeig de Gracia where we checked out both the H&M and Zara stores. Let's just say that if I wasn't super super broke right now, I would've walked out with more than just one pair of jeans.

Afterwards, around 14:00 (2 PM Barcelona time), I had a meeting with a handball coach, Dani, at the 365 Cafe (my favourite cafe chain here in Barcelona). Thankfully he has been very kind in helping me with handball, without him I wouldn't have contacts in the handball world here in Barcelona. It was a very exciting conversation as I got to learn about some of the potential opportunities for me here with both indoor and beach handball.

Around 13:00 we finished and I met back up with Vera at the Universitat Metro Station, we then walked back to Passeig de Gracia to the Lego Store. This was one of the most exciting free experiences I have had in a long time. Okay it's Lego Passport time!!

What is the Lego Passport Program?: The Lego Passport Program is a free program for all ages, require a free booklet and collect stamps from various store locations around the world or for special occasions, like birthdays or product launches.

Getting the Lego Passport: The Lego Passport is completely free and available at all official Lego Store locations. Walk up to any Lego Store Employee and ask them about obtaining a free personal Lego Passport. - In our case, we were directed to the front counter and were given each a free passport with all 5 Barcelona collectable stamps.

Collecting Stamps: Once you have your free Lego Passport, take it with you around the world. To collect stamps, take your Lego Passport to a Lego Store location, and approach the front counter asking to have your passport stamped. The best part, it's completely free. You don't even have to buy anything to have it stamped. - (Although, I'd be impressed if you have the willpower to walk out of a Lego store without buying anything).

Lego Passport Personal Details: There is a section at the front of the booklet for you to fill in your personal details such as, name, birthday, and even draw a picture of yourself as a Lego MiniFigure. - Reference Photo #

My Personal Recommendations: Write the date of when you collected each stamp at the bottom of the passport page as a way of recording the memory. While getting your Lego Passport, make yourself a MiniFigure, take a picture, print the picture, and attach it to the photo place in the personal details section.

Vera and I walked up to a man at the Lego Store and were directed to the front counter. The lady gave us all 5 of the Barcelona Lego stamps and the passports. We were smiling ear to ear. Before we left, we attempted to make ourselves as MiniFigures and took pictures of the amazing Lego built Architecture in the store.

A YouTube video explaining it all will be published soon...until then enjoy these fun photos :)
